About Artist Bonny Lepore
Bonny’s signature painting style is unique, full of vibrant hues applied in an unlabored, water-laden style that draws the viewer in for a closer look. Her subjects are familiar plants, animals, fruits and vegetables along with some fictional settings. Certain subjects call for light brush strokes allowing the weave of the canvas to show while another may be heavy with red paint and energized with contrasting stripes whipped across the canvas creating an impressive visual statement like Owl on the Prowl.
Bonny’s body of work includes rich-hued whimsical paintings. One is titled Flower Show illustrating a sunflower flexing its “leaf” muscles, another named Bon Appetit portrays a delightful blue dog and orange cat holding a fork and knife waiting for dinner! Masterfully applied, feathered brush strokes in an impressionistic style create the rooster in Barnyard Boss. This painting, like others, lends a country ambience perfect for the kitchen, nook or restaurant.
Bonny specializes in artwork for editorial, book illustrations and private commissions. Her talents support residential art collectors, architects, interior designers and textile designs. One of Bonny’s greatest pleasures is to participate in public grant projects for libraries, airports, museums and municipal buildings. Bonny’s large format, colorful art is often seen in corporate offices and other retail outlets.
